Class A: Girls: First Round Feb. 15 – Lakeland (8-10) at Rye (10-9) If it wasn’t for a tough, four-game skid in the beginning of the year that saw the Garnets drop game to tough AA squads like New Rochelle and White Plains, the Garnets may have escaped the out-bracket round. The Garnets have a number of girls who can find the net, including Grace Leishman and Rachel Egan who have both scored over 200 points this season. If Rye can get by Lakeland, they will square off against a seventh-seeded Byram Hills team on Friday, Feb. 17. In a previous meeting with the Bobcats, the Garnets won 48-40.
